5K a year 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking dedicated and energetic Community Support Specialists to provide services to adults with an intellectual and/or developmental disability in Hattiesburg, MS.
This position plays a vital role in initiating case management services in an effort to maintain emotional and mental stability for the individual and to aid in the development of a more satisfying and productive life.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and be able to manage multiple individuals on a case load.
For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt.
Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities.
Our eighteen-county service area includes Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall and Wayne.

Bachelor's degree in behavioral healthcare required Must have reliable transportation Auto insurance liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000 Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Must be able to obtain DMH case management certification within 90 days of hire Behavioral healthcare experience preferred Excellent communications skills required Independent work ability Provides advocacy, consultation, and educational services to Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources consumers.
Provides emergency interventions as needed.
Refers clients to community resources and other government agencies.
Visits consumers in the community to assess well-being of the family being served.
Assesses clients' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals.
Provides written record of consumer's progress through the therapeutic process of written progress notes.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
