- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports - Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations - Assist and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Assist with and oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees - Help with the preparation of financial reports and job cost reports for management - Support the month-end and year-end closing processes - Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial reports - Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide analysis as needed - Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation - Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles - Proficiency in general ledger accounting - Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis - Familiarity with corporate finance principles - Knowledge of payroll processing procedures - Previous experience in construction accounting or as an accounting clerk is a plus - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment - Excellent communications skills Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties or qualifications.
