Responsibilities
The primary contribution of the Tooling Engineer position within the AME group includes procurement of tooling for new products, maintenance of tooling for existing products, implementation of process improvements and cost reductions as well as product design input for manufacturability. This position is charged with providing and maintaining tooling to provide the lowest component cost possible while providing a part with the desired characteristics.
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering related field with emphasis in Tooling and/or plastics
Minimum 5 years experience in tool shop, injection molding or machine processing.
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
